Welcome to the inaugural news update of my brand new website!
A few months ago, Webs.com informed me that, after having been acquired by Vistaprint, they would be discontinuing their free web-hosting service. I was in a bit of a pickle, as I have a great deal of content to keep both organized and easy to navigate through, and most popular sites just weren’t cooperating for me. Thankfully, I found the perfect home just in the nick of time, and here we are!
Here is a brief overview of what’s been going on lately...
- I participated in my first 10-minute play festival with the Lakeshore Players Theater, playing Hannah, the Hotel Detective.
- I’ve been able to expand into green-screen spokesperson roles, which has been really fun
- Played roles in several student films
- Was involved in multiple Twin Cities features, including a period piece
- Reprised my birthing mother encounter for the final U of M Humanitarian Crisis Simulation (the program has been discontinued)
- Was hired as a Civilian On the Battlefield again for the National Guard, and ended up being trained as a Battlefield Effects Technician as well
- I’ve done several promotional and commercial spots
- I had the great fortune to be cast in three films as part of the 2020 Z-Fest film festival
- Standardized Patient events paused briefly and transitioned to primarily online/telehealth encounters, so work has remained pretty steady
- After the quarantine began, I signed up for the Stuck-at-Home 48-hour film fest, where I wrote, directed and produced three films where all participants took part from their homes and properties
- I’m acting in and also associate producing two features – Hamlet 2020, and 2020 The Movie
- After my father passed away in October, I finally decided to take the plunge and get involved in Barbershop, and have been attending virtual rehearsals with the City of Lakes chapter of Sweet Adelines
I'm also celebrating 100 pounds of weight loss!!!
